Crispy Artichoke Hearts

Canned artichoke hearts make this amazing and elegant appetizer easy to prepare. It is also perfect as a side dish or tossed with buttered pasta as a light dinner.

  • 1 Oven
  • 1 Medium Casserole Dish


  • 1 14-oz Can Artichoke Hearts, rinsed and drained
  • 1-1/2 T Olive Oil
  • 1/2 t Dried Thyme
  • 1/4 t Smoked Paprika
  • 1/4 c Panko Breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 c Parmesan Cheese, finely shredded
  • 1/2 c Fresh Parsley, chopped
  • Lemon Wedges, for serving
  • Sea Salt and Black Pepper, to taste


  • Preheat the oven to 400° F.
  • Place the artichoke hearts in a medium casserole dish and toss with the olive oil, dried thyme, and paprika. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
  • Place in the oven to bake for 10 minutes.
  • Remove the artichokes from the oven and sprinkle the breadcrumbs and parmesan cheese on top. Return to the oven until the artichokes are crisp and the breadcrumb topping is golden-brown, another 15-20 minutes.
  • Remove the artichokes from the oven and top with fresh parsley. Serve with lemon wedges and a dipping sauce of choice. Enjoy!
